Diamond in the rough! - Artfight 2026

Drawing done in 2 days in July 2026 using Photoshop (and Glaze) for ArtFight.

Artfight is an annual online art game where people (13 and older) can freely participate. It lasts through the entire month of July.

Each year, two teams are created, and players join the team of their choosing.
They fill out their personal page with their Original Characters, written descriptions, and permissions.
The goal is to "Attack" other players by gifting them art of their characters. These attacks can consist of drawings, sculptures, animations, real-life crafts, 3D models and more. Of course, AI-generated content is forbidden.

This is my second time taking part in the event, and I'm particularly proud of some "Attacks" I made for people and friends this year, and I thought they would be a welcomed addition to my portfolio.

I thought it would be interesting to add the original reference pictures. I obtained permission from their rightful owner to include them in this post.

Described as a short goblin (99cm / 3'3"), I decided on proportions more similar to the first reference picture. I tried to make her a little chubby, as described, but I wonder if I should have exaggerated it a bit more? She isn't as thin as the majority of female characters that can be found in this artstyle, but I don't know if it's enough. I tried to conserve the details of her scars and face tattoos to the best of my ability, even though it clutters her face a bit, they are still important details of her design and it would be a disservice to remove them, considering the goal of Artfight isn't to redesign the characters.
Nevertheless, I am still very happy with how the character turned out! I like drawing long ears, and I have a newfound liking to drawing braids! The leopard pattern was the most challenging part of the drawing.
